Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been experiencing nausea, bloating, headache, and fatigue for the past few weeks. As I have not had sex since my last period, I am certain that I am not pregnant. Is hormonal imbalance causing these symptoms?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

Nausea, bloating, headache, and fatigue can be the symptoms of hormonal imbalance. But it is important to see a healthcare provider to rule out other potential causes. Generally, hormonal imbalances can occur for a variety of reasons which are as follows:

  1. Stress.
  2. Poor diet.
  3. Lack of exercise.
  4. Certain medical conditions like thyroid disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), and adrenal dysfunction.

To determine whether the hormonal imbalance is the cause of your symptoms, you need to take blood tests to check your hormone levels. In the meantime, you can try practicing good self-care habits like getting enough sleep, eating a balanced diet, and exercising regularly. All these can help regulate your hormones and improve your overall health.

I hope this has helped you.

Thanks and regards.
