Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a girl who is 5 feet and 160 pounds. My knee feels like it needs to pop, but it will not. It feels really tight and hurts when I bend it quite a bit and when I fully extend it. I am currently not taking any medications.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern.

The probable diagnosis is knee pain. This seems to be due to a soft tissue injury to the knee. You need to take tablets. If it does not get better in two weeks, then you will require an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) scan of the knee joint. I suggest you take the following medicines:

1. Tablet Ibuprofen 400 mg twice for ten days after food.

2. Tablet Rabeprazole 20 mg twice for ten days before food.

3. Tablet Shelcal (calcium) 500 mg twice for 30 days before food.

4. Tablet Vitamin- D 60 K units once daily for ten days, then once a month for 11 months.

Take these tablets only if you are not allergic to them. Do not take these tablets if you have bronchial asthma. Follow up immediately in case of any untoward reactions.

This professional advice provided by me stands subject to the actual examination of the report or image and is based entirely on inputs provided to me. It should be correlated with clinical findings.

Hope this helps.

Regards.
