Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 23-year-old male suffering from pimples for two years on my cheeks and forehead. I have attached pictures for your reference. I have not applied any chemical creams and only wash my face twice daily. I work in the IT sector and am not much exposed to sun or dust. Kindly suggest.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Acne vulgaris is a common skin problem in adolescents and adulthood involving pilosebaceous follicles or oil glands and is therefore seen to involve areas where oil glands are dense like the face, chest, back, and upper arms. From the image you have shared (attachments have been removed to protect the patient's identity), you can be suffering from grade 1 to grade 2 acne. I suggest you follow the below-mentioned instructions.

  1. Start using Faceclin gel(Clindamycin) during day time over pimples and Microbenz 3.5% (benzoyl peroxide) gel, an hour at the night over face for two to three months.

  2. Use face care face wash (glycyrrhiza glabra)twice daily for cleaning the face.

  3. Follow certain dietary restrictions like avoiding oily, spicy, junk food, milk products, and non-vegetarian foods.

  4. Consume lots of water to keep your skin hydrated.

  5. Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and use the medication with their consent.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
