Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a stomach ache and I have been throwing up yellow mucus. What could be the reason behind it?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

Most probably this is acidity and gastritis. Do you also have bloating, burping, an increase in pain on food, sour water feeling in your throat, or chest burning? These are the other symptoms that may be associated. Do the following things to feel better:

  1. You should avoid a fatty, oily, and spicy diet.

  2. Have some walks after having food instead of taking a rest.

  3. Have multiple small meals instead of heavy meals.

  4. Have regular sleep habits and avoid stress.

  5. Eat lots of green leafy vegetables, and fruits.

  6. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any.

You should get prescribed from your doctor tablet Pan DSR 40 mg (Rabeprazole sodium, and Domperidone) or Esomeprazole and Domperidone combination before breakfast once a day for two weeks. If not adequately relieved, then you should add antacid syrup two teaspoons three times a day for a week. For immediate pain relief, you can have an antispasmodic-like tab Dicyclomine 20 milligrams or Hyoscine 10 milligrams or Hyoscyamine whenever needed up to three times a day. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss with them, and take the medicines with their consent.

Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.

Regards.
