Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a small white patch on my gland beside my urethra that has been there for three weeks with no pain or other issues. It is not going away on its own. What should I do? I also have a committed partner who is STD-free. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

Post a photo of the impacted area. Sexually transmitted infections must be considered if unprotected sex takes place. If not, it could be a straightforward bacterial infection, which can be treated. If there is itching, you should consider a fungal infection. Apply Candid B ointment locally, and take a tablet of Cetrizine once at night for itching. Be sure to wash your genitalia twice daily, in the morning and at night, with normal water, not hot or cold. Use light pH-level soap instead.

I hope I have answered your question.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards.
